Upon arrival at Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our local representative in front of the arrival gate with a display board of Around The World Travel. You will then get a transfer to your hotel. Depending on traffic, it takes about 20 minutes to drive from the airport to the touristic city of Thamel.

A new day in Nepal!

Your day begins with breakfast at your hotel. Today you will visit Pashupatinath (a Hindu religious shrine and cremations on the river bank) and in the afternoon you will visit Boudhanath, an immense “Stupa”. Tibetan pilgrims come to circle around the temple with their prayer wheels.

Today you will visit the ancient royal capital of Kathmandu (called Basantapur Durbar Square).

Afterwards you will continue to visit the town of Kirtipur, founded in the 9th century.

In the late afternoon we end our tour at Swayambhunath (also called Monkey Temple), a large Buddhist temple (which dominates Kathmandu) with a temple Hindu inside offer beautiful sunset.

We will pick you up in the morning for your transfer to the airport for a morning flight to Pokhara.

You will spend the afternoon exploring the city with its dramatic backdrop of the Annapurna, including a boat ride on the picturesque Phewa lake.

Older children might enjoy a bike ride in the countryside outside town and there are many routes of varying difficulty, all with stunning views.

Today starts with a drive to Kimche (which takes around 2.5 hours) from where you start your trek into the Annapurna. Your route will take you through rhododendron forest and small villages with incredible views over neatly terraced fields to Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain).

You will spend the night in the pretty village of Ghandruk. If you have the energy make sure that you explore the old part of the village and wander amongst the rows of slate-roofed houses, bunches of dried corn draped beneath the eaves and pumpkins drying in the courtyards.

The trek usually takes around 2-3 hours and you will spend the night in a teahouse.

Today we continue trekking, along small footpaths that have been used for hundreds of years by local villagers, again with incredible views towards the mountains. You will cross the Modi Khola River and climb through terraced fields and moss-draped rhododendron forest.

The trek today takes around 4 hours and ends in Tolkha, famous for the spectacular sunset panorama that it offers.

Today’s walk is glorious, with truly spectacular views of the Annapurna. It takes around 4 hours and follows ancient trails through terraced fields of wheat and corn and traditional villages.

We will pass the small village of Dhampus, set in a dramatic ridge-top setting with panoramic views towards Machhapuchare.

From there we descend to Phedi and take a car to Pokhara.

After breakfast, you will have 5-hour drive to Chitwan by local bus. The vantage section of the road offers dramatic view along the river towards Chitwan.

This morning we rise early and we head to the river for a trip in a dugout canoe or boating through the wetlands surrounding the Rapti River. This area is home to a great variety of birds but the main attraction for the children will be the local crocodiles. Keep your eyes peeled and your fingers inside the canoe!

Later we go on a jeep safari in Chitwan in search of the elusive Bengal tiger as well as wild elephant and rhino.

Transfer to Bharatpur airport for a short flight back to Kathmandu. Then transfer to Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is an ancient and historical city, renowned for its wonderful art and architecture, centuries-vintage palaces and monuments, colourful festivals and vibrant Newari tradition, has been described as an open-air museum.

After exploring the ancient city of Bhaktapur, visit Patan, the ancient royal capital, the city of golden roofs, second largest city of the valley. The city has stretched Buddhist Posse. The rest of the day is free for some last-minute shopping where you can use your newly acquired haggling skills to purchase souvenirs… particularly popular with children are the elephant-dung notebooks!

Your family journey across Nepal come to the end today. According to your flight schedule, we will transfer to the airport for your flight home.
