DAY 1 – ARRIVAL BANGKOK

Welcome to Thailand

Meet & greet at Bangkok international airport and transfer Bangkok Airport ‐ Bangkok Hotel. Check‐in to your hotel for overnight accommodation.

Exploring the bustling Chinatown a popular tourist attraction and a food haven. Upon this 1‐km strip packed with market stalls, street‐side restaurants and a dense concentration of gold shops. Continue the journey to Pakklong Talaad, the biggest wholesale a retail fresh flower market in Bangkok.

After dinner at a local restaurant, drive through the idyllic “Old City Bangkok” at night. End up the night by exploring the Khao San Road for it’s famously described as “world famous Backpacker area”.

DAY 2 – BANGKOK CITY TOUR

Bangkok has a sufficient and rather diverse public transportation network. Interestingly enough, it also makes exploring Bangkok’s highlight much more fun doing it the local way!

Enjoy a morning walk through Lumpini Park. This park in the centre of the city and very popular for exercising against a backdrop of skyscrapers.

Walk over to the nearest BTS (Bangkok Mass Transit System) for a short skytrain ride. View downtown Bangkok enroute to Saphan Taksin station, located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River and  walk to the pier for a public boat trip.

Make your way to Wat Pho, which houses the 46‐meter Reclining Buddha, the largest in the world and continue to the Grand Palace, which served until 1925 as the seat of the King and Government. Admire the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, known as Wat Phra Kaew, which houses the famed Emerald Buddha and the Grand Palace Hall in Wat Phra Kaew.

Lunch is served at a nearby restaurant, after which a tuk‐tuk brings you Soi Ban Batra, where monks’ alms bowls are made by a handicraft family.

Walk to Ratchadamnoen Avenue, the Thai Champs Elysées and transfer by tuk‐tuk to Saen Saeb Klong for a commuter shuttle boat ride. The narrow canals offer a very different look of Bangkok on the way.

Get off the boat near Jim Thompson’s House, located in the former home of the Thai Silk Company’s founder and Explore the art and antiques inside the teak houses.

Opt after the visit to enjoy a real Bangkok shopping experience at either MBK, Siam Square, Siam Center, Siam Discovery or Siam Paragon. Siam is a haven for shopping and it shows in its ambiance. Return to the hotel afterwards.

DAY 3 – BANGKOK

Your journey commences with a leisurely drive through rice paddies and salt fields.

En route we visit farmhouse along the way and watch locals produce sugar from coconut. The tour continues with a 30 minutes longtail boat trip along fruit plantation to see Thai houses and the traditional way of life.

Arriving at Damnoen Saduak floating market you will be fascinated by boats of various shapes and sizes used by local merchants to ferry their goods. Continue to the Maeklong Railway Market. It is one of the largest fresh seafood markets in Thailand, and is centered around the track of the Maeklong Railway. When trains approach, the awnings and shopfronts are moved back from the rails, and then replaced once the train has passed. We continue to a small community called Klong Khone, This unspoiled town is where we will take a boat ride to see sea monkeys, a mangrove forest and the traditional ways of life of Thai fishermen.

Lunch on Krateng, a bamboo house that is built on stilts in the middle of the water, as a temporary shelter when they go out to the sea.

On the way back to your hotel, stop at Don Hoi Lot and Wat Bang Kung (temple), a famous temple Wat Khai Bang Kung‘s Ayutthaya‐era ordination hall along the Mae Khlong river just north of Amphawa has been encased by the roots and branches of banyan trees.

DAY 4 – BANGKOK ‐ RIVER KWAI

Early morning pick up from your hotel and depart to Kanchanaburi.

Visit the Thailand‐Burma Railway Museum, an interactive museum, information and research facility dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand‐Burma Railway.

The fully air‐conditioned center offers the visitor an educational and moving experience. Continue to the War Cemetery, final resting place for over 6,000 allied prisoners of war, and the world famous Bridge over the River Kwai.

Take a long‐tailed boat on the Kwai River, passing unspoiled mountainous jungle scenery.

DAY 5 – RIVER KWAI

Transfer to Treetop Adventure Park, which offers an extensive zipline adventure between and above the beautiful trees and with breathtaking views. From one platform to another…from tree to tree…balance yourself through an assortment of games such as rope bridges, Tarzan swings, flying skateboards, tight rope walk, and giant zip lines.

Like Tarzan deep in the jungle you can slide down flying foxes, move from tree to tree on suspension bridges and jump from liana up to 25m above the ground.

In the afternoon, canoeing downstream on the historical river, River Kwai Noi, and enjoy lush tropical forest on both sides.

From River Kwai Jungle Rafts, our sister resort, down to River Kwai Resotel, it will take approximately 40 minutes.

DAY 6 – RIVER KWAI – HUA HIN

After breakfast transfer by boat to Pakseng pier. And proceed to Phetchaburi.

After lunch, drive to Khao Luang cave with its many much‐worshipped Buddha statues.

Another stop is at King Mongkut’s Summer Palace, climbing up on a 92‐meter high verdant hill. The whole compound is comprised of royal halls, palaces, temples and other buildings which were elegantly constructed in a wellbalanced Thai, neoclassical Western and Chinese architectural styles.

Proceed to Hua Hin.

DAY 7 – HUA HIN to CHUMPHON

Breakfast at the hotel and then drive south along the coast to the Sam Roi Yot National Park. Afterwards boat ride to a secluded beach in the National Park.

Drive further to visit the Khao Chong Krajok, known as the Mirror Mountain. Here you will have spectacular views over the town and surrounding area.

Afterwards stop at Bang Saphan to visit the fish market. Drive to the beach in Chumphon with check‐in and overnight stay.

DAY 8 – CHUMPHON – SURAT THANI

Drive to the white sandy beaches at Hat Sai Ri. Visit the shrine of the Prince of Chumphon before continuing on to a small coffee farm. Afterwards, continue drive passing local fruit markets selling both fresh and preserved fruits from the nearby orchards.

DAY 9 – SURAT THANI – KHAO SOK

Drive southwards to Khao Sok.

Visit Ban Phumriang, a small handicraft which is notable for its gold and silver brocade silk cloth and jute head gear. Continue visit to Phra Borom That Chaiya, this ancient chedi houses Buddha relics, which are highly revered by local residents. The restored Phra Borom That Chaiya serves as a fine example of Srivijaya’s influence on religious architecture and is believed to have been built more than 1,200 years ago. Along the courtyard of the chedi are several sculptures and Buddha images.

In the afternoon arrive at Khao Sok and check‐in and sightseeing by canoe down the Sok River is a nice and relaxing way to discover the natural beauty of the wildlife, rainforest and limestone cliffs.

DAY 10 – KHAO SOK

You will set off for the whole day on a trip along Lake Cheo Lan. Walking on a long‐tailed boat on the lake will bring unforgettable pleasure. The shores of the emerald Lake Cheo Lan form rocks covered with tropical forests, picturesque dry tops of flooded trees and quaint mountains, like grottoes, caves, islands, clear turquoise water floating above each other ‐ all this will not leave anyone indifferent.

The visiting card of Lake Cheoh Lan are three cliffs in the bay of Guilin (Guilin).

And of course lunch in one of the floating hotels on the lake, swimming in fresh, tender water, exploring quiet canoeing in search of rare and wild animals, exploring the jungle and exploring the caves!

Late afternoon return to your resort.

DAY 11 – KHAO SOK – KHAO LAK

Discover what the nature has to offer. Trek through the Khao Sok jungle with one of our English speaking guides and discover what the nature has to offer.

After lunch, transfer (without guide) to your hotel in Khao Lak.

DAY 12 & 13 – KHAO LAK

Two free days at leisure for personal activities.
