In the afternoon transfer to Kuang Si. The waterfalls of Kuang Si are located 32 km south‐west of Luang Prabang. The falls itself resemble a fairytale‐like scene with little emerald green and clear blue waters flooding the dense jungle of the surrounding national park. Before reaching the falls, visit a few ethnic minority villages. Observe the still authentic lifestyle people follow in these villages and admire the colorful clothing and friendly smiles before continuing to the Black Bear Rescue Center. Get more familiar with the endangered Asian Black Bear and the work they do at the Rescue Center to help these bears that are commonly the target of poachers and wildlife traders. Enter the park and be amazed by the natural beauty that surrounds you. The falls are free to swim in and many picnic spots around will make for a relaxing mood. It is also possible to hike to the top of the falls via a steep and slippery trail. Return after your visit to Luang Prabang town.
